For the first time this year, Danger Run allows players to choose which two of four major haunts they want to experience, including an exclusive new haunt based on a popular urban legend!
Ghost stories and urban legends passed down through generations in campfire tales, around water coolers and at recess in schoolyards are part of the DNA that makes up the Halloween season. This year, Danger Run is exploring one of Louisville’s most enduring and popular urban myths surrounding the Pope Lick train trestle in Eastern Jefferson County and the mysterious monster that has haunted the area for decades.
“The Legend at Pope Lick” is a new, full size haunted forest style attraction, exclusive to Danger Runners, that invites guests to explore the mystery behind the legend of The Pope Lick Monster AKA the Goat Man! Along with the new, exclusive attraction, Danger Run XXII has also introduced a new option allowing players to make the experience more customizable than ever before. You can still play Danger Run “old school,” as a complete mystery-adventure into the unknown, without knowing where you’ll be going and what you’re going to see when you get there. Or, at any of the Starting Gates, you can elect to have all four destination attractions revealed to you so that you can choose exactly which two haunts you want to experience and you’ll be given a clue book specifically designed to lead you to those creepy destinations.
The clues you’ll need to solve this year will take you and your friends and family all across the Ville and down many spooky back roads never included on Danger Run before, past legendary landmarks and historic places in a quest to find some of the biggest and best haunted attractions in town.
Danger Run is open Friday and Saturday nights through Halloween. The Starting Gates are open from 7 PM until 11 PM and the haunts are open from 8 PM until 2 AM. The three Starting Gates are located at Lowes 501 S. Hurstbourne Pkwy, Lowes 6651 Dixie Hwy and Lowes 1350 Veteran Pkwy in Clarksville, IN. Tickets are $25 and come with a DQ Grill & Chill Blizzard coupon, FREE vampire teeth and with a carload of four or more, you get a FREE $10 gas card.
Danger Run tickets can also be purchased on the Louisville Halloween Hopper Pass that saves you an additional $5 for each attraction you add to your single Hopper Pass ticket.
