A jilted lover and suicide surround this once prominent mansion. Built in the late 1800’s by Henry Vogt, this mansion has had its fair share of ghost stories. The most tragic is the story of a young bride. When the home still belonged to the Vogt’s, a lavish wedding was held there. During the party a woman approached the bride to disclose a previous relationship she had with the groom. The two women exchanged heated words while the rest of the guests fell silent. The ex-lover fled the house while the bride ran upstairs. Moments later, the guests heard gunshots. The bride had committed suicide, blood staining her wedding gown. It is said that she still roams the halls of the mansion trying to find the peace in death that she didn’t find in life.
